4 Reasons to Ignore the Economy

  1. It doesn't matter. It's just the economy, stupid. Think about it. In the grand scheme of your life, does the financial status of the world really matter? It shouldn't. It is important to put all things into perspective. You will still have those who love you and those you love. Your friends and your family. You also have your life. Decide to do something else with it that matters much more than any dollar you could ever make. The economy doesn't matter in the grand scheme of your life.
  2. You can't control it. The stock market is the best example of this. You can watch it go up and down, down and up. You can't control it. You can't control the economy. You just have to be responsible for yourself and your finances. Make smart money decisions, save, and stay out of debt.
  3. Learn to live life. Take the opportunity of a poor economy to evaluate various aspects of your life. Learn to appreciate the small things. Take walks, ride a bike, eat less. Help others who may be struggling. Build relationships. Make the changes in your life that you've always said you were going to do, but never did. It doesn't have to cost a thing and in the long run will be more meaningful than trying to make a buck and worrying about the state of the economy.
  4. Adversity prompts growth. We don't often learn much when everything is going well. It's the most difficult moments in life that teach us some of life's most valuable lessons. If things get difficult because of the economy, use it as an opportunity to grow.
Choose today that no matter what happens, you will not allow a poor economy to keep you from living life.
